Oscar-nominated director Baz Luhrmann brings Elvis Presley’s life journey to the big screen in his latest film, Elvis. This biopic of the “King of Rock & Roll” will premiere on June 24, 2022 at local cinema networks.
Elvis Presley is a legendary musician from the United States who captivated the world in his time. He is even called one of the most influential cultural icons of the 20th century. Synopsis
Ever since he was little, Elvis Presley (Austin Butler) lived in Memphis, Tennessee. Elvis himself often go to a church in that city. One day, when Elvis went to church, he was amazed the someone’s singing performance. He then dreamed of becoming a star.
Elvis took the first step towards this dream by entering Sun Records. Under the label, his talent shines even more. Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks), who sees the potential of this young man, wants to make him a great musician. Elvis then moved to the RCA Records label with Parker as his manager. The decision to change labels did make Elvis Presley’s name known all around the globe, but it also became the beginning of a complicated working relationship with the manager.
