Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan is seen undergoing Umrah worship in the holy city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The actor is seen wearing ihram clothes and a mask in a number of photos that have gone viral on social media.
Previously, through a video on his Instagram account, Shah Rukh Khan announced that he had completed shooting the film ‘Dunki’ by director Rajkumar Hirani in Saudi Arabia. “A huge Shukran (Thank you) to #SaudiArabiaMinistryOfCulture, the team and everyone who made this #Dunki shooting schedule so smooth,” the post captioned.
After shooting Dunki, a number of photos and videos circulating online showed the moment Shah Rukh Khan was undergoing Umrah worship, accompanied by a number of people who were suspected of being his personal bodyguards.
One of the photos of Shah Rukh Khan was shared by a Saudi Arabian journalist via his Twitter account. “Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan @iamsrk underwent Umrah at #Mecca today. May Allah SWT accept his Umrah Amen,” the journalist tweeted.
Shah Rukh Khan’s longing to perform Umrah worship was conveyed in an interview with the Times of India several years ago. “(Going) Hajj is definitely on my agenda. I want to go there with my son Aryan and my daughter Suhana,” the Hindustan Times reported.
Furthermore, with Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan also appeared on the stage of the Red Sea International Film Festival 2022 which was held in Jeddah. Their blockbuster film, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, was chosen as the opening film at the festival.
