Wu Jia Yi and Liu Yi Chang play two genius students who try to prove the existence of love according to their knowledge through the latest drama series ‘The Science of Falling in Love’. Directed by Hao Fei Huan, the web-drama which aired starting Wednesday, March 15, 2023, can be watched online via the iQIYI live streaming video platform.
The story of this drama series was adapted from the Japanese animation ‘Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It’. Previously, a similar story was adapted in the Japanese drama version ‘Rike Koi’ (2018).
Apart from the main character pair, the 24-episode drama series also stars Chen Hao Lan, Wu Fei, Vinnie Yao, and Shang Si Qi. The filming process was suspended as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, until it was finally completed on November 2, 2021.

The Science of Falling in Love Storyline
Su Cheng Cheng (Wu Jia Yi) is a sophomore majoring in biomedical engineering. For the first time in her life, she dared to confess that she fell in love at first sight with Xiao Yu He (Liu Yi Chang), who is known as the male god of scientific research.
Su Cheng Cheng’s confession did not get a definite answer. Instead, Xiao Yu He chose to test her feelings of love using scientific methods through experiments involving a brain-computer interface in the laboratory.
Before the experiment, Xiao Yu He repeatedly emphasized to Su Cheng Cheng that the word ‘like’ was too abstract and unreal. Finally they collide with intelligence and courage to find out whether love can be solved through scientific methods.
