The latest Korean dramas, ‘Connect’ and ‘Big Bet’, are included in the list of the latest films and shows that Disney will introduce through the Disney Content Showcase which will be held for two days, Wednesday and Thursday (30 November – 01 December 2022).
The event, which was held at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, is a means for Disney to present some of the top films from various subsidiaries of the Walt Disney Company as well as the latest original films that are present on Disney+ globally.
Among them will be introduced two Korean original series, ‘Connect’ and ‘Big Bet’, which are scheduled to be released on December 7 and December 21, 2022 respectively.
Korean Drama ‘Connect’
The story of the unique relationship between a serial killer and the victim of a kidnapping by a group of organ harvesters was directed by iconic Japanese director Miike Takashi. The cross-genre director will collaborate with two well-known actors, Jung Hae In and Ko Kyung Pyo.
Ha Dong Soo (Jung Hae In) must be willing to lose one of his eyes when he is kidnapped by a group of organ harvesters. It turns out that the eye was transplanted into the socket of a serial killer, Oh Jin Seop (Ko Kyung Pyo).
Despite managing to save his life, Dong Soo’s life changes completely when he starts experiencing visions of horrific crimes from Jin Seop’s perspective. Dong Soo also started action to chase and stop the murders.
Korean Drama ‘Big Bet’
The Korean drama ‘Big Bet’ marks the return of veteran South Korean actor, Choi Min Sik, to the small screen for the first time in 26 years. The winner of the Best Actor title in three prestigious award events through his role as Oh Dae Su in the film ‘Oldboy” (2003) last appeared in the Korean drama “Love and Separation” in 1997.
Scheduled for release on December 21, ‘Big Bet’ tells the story of Cha Moo Sik (Choi Min Sik), a legendary casino king in the Philippines who faces an incident until he becomes entangled in a murder case. This case brings him to face the ultimate gamble with his life as the stakes in order to be back in the game.
A number of other well-known actors who co-starred in ‘Big Bet’ include Son Seok Koo, Lee Dong Hwi, Heo Sung Tae, and Jin Seon Kyu.
