The Roundup, the action-packed sequel to popular Korean film The Outlaws, premiered in the USA on May 20, 2022. The film, which has garnered more than 9 million domestic viewers, can be seen in limited screenings.
Previously, The Outlaws concluded with the success of Detective Ma Seok Do (Ma Dong Seok) and Captain Jeon Il Man (Choi Gwi Hwa) in putting a stop to the gang wars in Garibong. The Roundup, starting 4 years after the event, pits the legendary detective with a new opponent, a cold-blooded killer named Kang Hae Sang (Son Seok Koo).
The audience’s favorite characters will return to the screen. Along with the duo Ma Seok Do and Jeon Il Man, the characters Jang Yi Soo (Park Ji Hwan), Oh Dong Gyun (Heo Dong Won), and Kang Hong Seok (Ha Jun) will appear again with new charms. Son Seok Koo, the rising actor following his role as Mr. Gu in the drama series My Liberation Notes, completes the cast as the sadistic Kang Hae Sang.

Synopsis
Detective Ma Seok Do (Ma Dong Seok), Captain Jeon Il Man (Choi Gwi Hwa) and his team head to Vietnam to catch a suspect and bring him back to Korea. But when they got there, they realized something was off.
While in Vietnam, Ma Seok Do found a number of strange murder cases, especially against tourists. Suspicious, Ma Seok Do traces the cases to a dangerous man, Kang Hae Sang (Son Seok Koo). The police unit’s attempts to catch Kang Hae Sang keep failing, until the killer manages to sneak himself back into Korea and wreak havoc once again in his home country. Will Ma Seok Do and his colleagues be able to bring Kang Hae Sang to face the consequences to his crimes?
