Synopsis
Xu Jie (Jiang Shu Ying) is a female lawyer who is frustrated by her current situation – both at work and in an emotional relationship. She intends to find a new place to develop her career.
Just in time, Li Gong Ming (Gao Shu Guang) invites her for an internship at Mingtang Law Firm. Besides being a golden opportunity to start a career in a new environment, Xu Jie also felt challenged by the task she was given to investigate the bribery case involving Chen Wen Guang, a partner of Li Gong Ming.
To investigate this case, Xu Jie will partner with Chen Ran (Liu Min Tao), a female lawyer who is also Chen Wen Guang’s daughter. Chen Ran had indeed been secretly investigating the case involving her father after Chen Wen Guang was imprisoned.
At first, these two female lawyers with different styles and thoughts almost always quarreled. But after successfully dealing with a number of cases together, Xu Jie and Chen Ran began to trust each other.
But their relationship was torn apart again after Chen Ran found out the real reason behind Xu Jie’s arrival. Thousands of questions arose in her heart regarding Xu Jie’s sincerity.
When the relationship between the two becomes fragile, many problems must be dealt with at the law firm. Because they are on the same boat, Xu Jie and Chen Ran must work hand in hand so that they finally find out the truth behind the bribery case involving Chen Wen Guang.
