A new ancient costume drama with mystery and comedy nuances is present in the Chinese drama ‘Warm on a Cold Night’. The 36-episode drama directed by Li Hui Zhu can be watched online via the iQIYI live streaming video platform.
Even though it is thick with a mysterious cases, the trailer for the drama series, known in the Chinese translation as ‘Nine Heavens Cold and Warm Night’, presents a cheerful and hilarious atmosphere. The fresh and interesting characters were played well by the main cast, Li Yi Tong and Bi Wen Jun, who played detectives Su Jiu Er and Han Zheng respectively.
In order to solve various unpredictable mystery cases, the main characters is supported by a number of other supporting artists including He Rui Xian who plays the great general of the Qi family, and Chen He Yi who plays the character Wen Jun – the second Prince of the Qian kingdom who is gentle and kind heart, as well as sincere and does not discriminate against social status.

Warm on a Cold Night Storyline
A strange murder case forces policewoman Su Jiu Er (Li Yi Tong) from the cold Qian Kingdom to team up with young master Han Zheng (Bi Wen Jun) who comes from the warm Qi Tribe. This unique partnership between two characters with opposite personalities has only one goal, to uncover the truth of the case.
Su Jiu Er is a policewoman who is beautiful, petite, and cute, but has a strong sense of justice in her heart. Her cheerful personality allows Jiu Er to quickly blend in with those around her, despite having zero knowledge of the arts.
In contrast, the handsome Han Zheng had a mysterious and rebellious temperament and had no experience in how to get along with the opposite sex. This man has various superpowers including very sensitive senses of smell and hearing.
Going through a long road full of twists and turns, Su Jiu Er and Han Zheng were finally able to understand each other. Even affection gradually grew between them. At the same time, their cooperation was able to solve the crisis their family was facing.
