After losing 2-4 to Arsenal at the start of the year, Brighton managed to carve two consecutive wins by scoring a total of nine points and conceding only two goals. Brighton’s win over Everton 4-1 in the last league match was followed by a successful 5-1 defeat of Middlesbrough in the FA Cup.
This brilliant result became an important record for coach Roberto De Zerbi who had failed to win in his first five matches with Brighton, drawing two and losing three. The Seagulls have won four wins in their last six league matches which have brought them to eighth place with just one point ahead of Brentford.
