Bordeaux and Rennes will face each other in the Round of 64 of the 2022-23 French Cup which will be broadcast live streaming on Saturday, January 07, 2023 at Matmut-Atlantique Stadium, Bordeaux. Rennes’ arrival at the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux this weekend was accompanied by a winning record from the last league game, when they hosted Nice with a final score of 2-1. The result returned Rennes to winning ways after losing 3-1 at visiting Reims.
The club, which is currently ranked fourth in the Ligue 1 standings, has indeed performed brilliantly this season. Even since the start of September 2022, Bruno Genesio’s side have lost only one of the 19 competitive matches they have faced – twelve wins and six draws.
According to their head-to-head record, Les Rouge et Noir were unbeaten in the last two meetings against Bordeaux in Ligue 1 last season. Rennes even managed to score a landslide victory with six goals without reply when hosting Bordeaux in January 2022.
