The France U17 national team match against the Mali U17 in Semi-finals of the FIFA U17 World Cup on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 will be held at the Stadion Manahan Stadium, Surakarta.
France U17 qualified for the quarter-finals after beating Senegal U17 on penalties 5-3, after playing out a goalless draw in normal time. France U17 is unbeaten in the 2023 U17 World Cup, having achieved three wins and becoming group E champions. France U17 scored 10 goals and conceded only one goal in their last five matches.

Coach Soumalia Coulibaly’s strategy has succeeded in making her team score 14 goals and concede only two goals in their last four matches.
Mali U17 has several dangerous players, such as strikers Mamadou Doumbia and Ibrahim Diarra, as well as attacking midfielder Mahamoud Barry. Coulibaly’s three mainstay players have scored three goals each during the 2023 World Cup in Indonesia. They could be a threat to the untested France U17 back line.
France U17 does have various experiences playing in Europe. They even won the UEFA U17 Championship in Israel in 2022, and runners-up in the same competition this year. Obviously the favorite.
However, Mali U17 has scored a lot of goals and conceded only 2, showing a strong balance of attack and defense. Mali U17 has also won 2 prestigious titles, namely the CAF U17 Cup of Nations in 2015 and 2017 in Gabon.
