Mali vs. Morocco: Live Streams, Where to Watch, Team News, 1/8 Final of 2023 FIFA U17 World Cup

The Mali U17 national team match against the Morocco U17 in Quarter-Finals of the FIFA U17 World Cup on Saturday, November 25, 2023 will be held at the Stadion Manahan Stadium, Surakarta.

Mali U17 will face Morocco U17 in the quarter-finals of the U17 World Cup at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta, on Friday (25/11/2023). This will be the second meeting between the two teams, after they met at the 2023 U17 Africa Cup of Nations back in May.

Mali U17 is the defending champion of the CAF U17 Cup of Nations twice, namely in the 2015 and 2017 seasons in Gabon. Meanwhile, Morocco U17 were runners-up at the 2023 U17 Africa Cup of Nations held in Algeria, after they lost on penalties to Senegal U17 in the final.

Mali U17 showed impressive performance in this year’s U17 World Cup, finishing runner-up in Group B with 6 points, losing 1 point to Spain U17. Soumaila Coulibaly’s squad beat Uzbekistan U17, Canada U17, and lost to Spain U17.

Mali U17 also crushed Mexico U17 with a score of 5-0 in the round of 16, with Mahamoud Barry scoring two goals, and 1 goal each by Ibrahim Diarra, Kanate and Tia.

On the other hand, Morocco U17 is a tough and quality team, who managed to qualify for the U17 World Cup for the first time in their history. Morocco U17 performed extraordinary in this year’s U17 World Cup, winning Group A, after beating Panama U17 and Indonesia U17, and losing to Ecuador U17.

In the round of 16, Saïd Chiba’s side also eliminated Iran U17 on penalties, after a 1–1 draw in normal time, with Nassim Azaouzi scoring the equaliser.

With the latest performance shown by both teams, Morocco is considered to have the potential to continue their dominance, after winning over Mali in the 2023 U17 Africa Cup of Nations. However, Mali will certainly try to get revenge while fighting to qualify for the first time in the semi-finals of the U17 World Cup.
