Match Preview
In his last match, Tottenham Hotspur beat West Ham United with a score of 2-0. This victory provides an opportunity for them to strengthen their fourth position in the Premier League standings, while defeats continue to befall Chelsea after losing to Southampton at home to their opponents.
Good news came from former Chelsea coach, Antonio Conte. Conte, who is currently coaching Tottenham Hotspur, is currently recovering from gallbladder surgery. Interim coach, Cristian Strein, managed to add 3 points to West Ham last weekend.
The absence of Newcastle and Manchester United this week provides a golden opportunity for Tottenham to avoid the threat of being chased by Newcastle and reduce the point gap with Manchester United.
Fifth-placed Newcastle United and third-placed Manchester United will meet in the Carabo Cup final on Sunday.
Even though Chelsea suffered a 0-1 defeat to Southampton at the weekend, the board of directors still have faith in their team. Even though they are currently in 10th place and 11 points clear of Tottenham, club boss, Todd Boehly, still backs current manager, Graham Potter, despite some members of the board of directors who disagree.
The Blues are currently experiencing a difficult period. But they still survive in European competitions like the Champions League. The struggle is not over yet because in the first leg of the last 16 of the UCL, Chelsea lost 1-0 to Borussia Dortmund. Chelsea still have a chance to get revenge later on March 8, 2023.

Team News
Tottenham have had quite a few problems lately. Several injured players such as Rodrigo Bentancur, Yves Bissouma, Hugo Lloris and Ryan Sessegnon are all still out. Bentancur has even had surgery and is still waiting a long time for recovery.
But there’s good news too. Emerson impressed in the last London derby and is likely to continue at right full-back. Oliver Skipp should partner Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the center, while Ben Davies could be used again in the left wing-back area.
Heung-min Son, who has scored off the bench for the fourth time in the Premier League this season, is also expected to start and replace Richarlison.
The Chelsea squad is also no less messy. The latest news, Cesar Azpilicueta, who suffered a serious head injury in their match against Southampton, has now been released from hospital and is recovering at home.
Armando Broja, Christian Pulisic and Edouard Mendy are still in the treatment room. However, N’Golo Kante is back in team training and is reportedly close to signing a new contract. It’s going to be an exciting match, and we can’t wait to see how it plays out!
