Al-Ittihad are the stronger side with 12 shots at goal, double that of Al-Nassr. Ronaldo stormed off the field angrily after the loss and headed straight for the tunnel at the final whistle. Al-Nassr’s winning streak of four matches ended in defeat to Al-Ittihad.
After the loss to Al-Ittihad, Ronaldo said, “I’m disappointed with the result, but we remain focused on the season and the games to come.” He also added, “Thanks to Al-Nassr fans for your support, we know we can count on you!”
On the other hand, Abha qualified for the quarter-finals after a tough 4-3 win against Al-Taawoun in the round of 16. They are in 12th place in the Saudi Pro League with 23 points from 20 matches. Abha are winless in the last five clashes and that could dampen their confidence ahead of the quarter-finals.
In their previous clash, they drew 2-2 against Al Fateh. Their last win was recorded one month ago against Al Khaleej. Abha’s away record is also not great as they have lost their last five matches on the road, scoring only three goals. Abha can take inspiration from the previous edition where they made it to the semifinals of the King Cup of Champions.
