The host racer, Francesco Bagnaia, completed 23 rounds of the 2022 Italian MotoGP and finished first.
Held on Sunday (29/5/2022) at the Mugello circuit, Bagnaia posted the fastest time of 41 minutes, 18.923 seconds.
Riding a Ducati Lenovo motorcycle, Francesco Bagnaia was 0.635 seconds faster than runner-up Fabio Quartararo and 1.983 seconds ahead of Aleix Espargaro, who was on the podium in third place.
Road Race
Racing at Mugello was very exciting. The three drivers who started from pole position immediately led the match for two laps. Valentino Rossi’s younger brother Luca Marini and Marco Bezzecchi showed their strengths but only lasted a few laps early.
After that, the two Mooney VR46 Racing Team drivers weakened and were passed by Quartararo, Bagnaia, Aleix Espargaro, and Johan Zarco.
The bike’s speed from the Ducati factory on the straights is unquestionable. With this advantage, Bagnaia continued to run away from Quartararo and Aleix Espargaro.
In today’s 8th race of the Italian MotoGP, Enea Bastianini, who had the ambition to get on the fourth podium, fell at the fourth corner when the race had 10 laps remaining.
Meanwhile, Marc Marquez, who, after the 2022 Italian MotoGP will receive treatment, managed to finish in 10th place. The Repsol Honda racer is still 1 rank ahead of Fabio Di Giannantonio, who got the Pole Position based on the qualification results, which were held on Saturday (29/5/2022) at the Mugello MotoGP, Italy.
