A row of DC superheroes is ready to greet moviegoers in 2022, starting with the presence of The Batman which is scheduled to hit theaters starting Thursday, March 3, 2022. Robert Pattinson will play Bruce Wayne aka Batman, while Matt Reeves is lined up as director and co-wrote the script with Peter Craig.
The Batman follows the story of Batman in his early years, while still acting like a vigilante struggling to balance truth and anger in investigating the mysteries that plague and terrorize Gotham. The film was originally scheduled to be released in June 2021, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jeffrey Wright and Zoe Kravitz also join Pattinson in The Batman, playing Commissioner James Gordon and Catwoman. Meanwhile, Paul Dano and Colin Farrell are Batman’s enemies in this film, as The Riddler and Penguin.

Synopsis
Two years after living on the streets as the batman who sparked fear in the hearts of criminals, Bruce Wayne aka Batman (Robert Pattinson) is plunged into the dark shadows of Gotham City.
The appearance of The Riddler (Paul Dano), a serial killer who viciously kills a number of important elites in the political world in Gotham, forcing Batman to act with only a handful of trusted people, including Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis) and Lieutenant James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright).
An investigation into hidden corruption in the city brings Batman together with a variety of new characters, including Selina ‘Catwoman’ Kyle (Zoe Kravitz), Oswald ‘Penguin’ Cobblepot (Colin Farrell), and Carmine Falcone (John Torturo). Even the investigation led him to a big question mark around the possible involvement of his own family.
