The journey of love between a ‘city girl’ and a ‘traditional craftsman’ is presented in the romantic drama ‘Falling Before Fireworks’ which is scheduled to start airing on Friday, March 31, 2023. The 23 episode web drama can be watched online via the iQIYI live streaming video platform.
The drama, which has completed the shooting process since last year, basically raises the theme of a story about marriage that takes place before feelings of love. Lu Yang Yang and Chen Xin Hai were lined up as the main character couple who have opposite traits and characters, but accidentally get involved in a marriage.
Falling Before Fireworks’, or also known as ‘Most Amazing Fireworks in the World’ was directed by senior directors Liang Guo Guan and Wang Hui. A number of other artists who also performed included Nan Sheng, Zhao Zhen Ting, and Ji Hao.

Falling Before Fireworks Storyline
Si Qing (Lu Yang Yang) is a manager in the loan department of a bank. This hard worker with extraordinary performance has a closed personality so that she is often ostracized by her colleagues.
Meanwhile, Si Qing’s parents were busy with various activities and often forgot where their daughter was, even her birthday. This condition made her grow up as a lonely girl.
One day, a mission to collect a debt that requires her to go to Suiyuan brings Si Qing together with Jing Chen (Chen Xin Hai). Contrary to Si Qing’s busy pursuit of wealth, this handsome traditional craftsman does not care about cars, houses or bank accounts but comfortably lives in a peaceful countryside surrounded by mountains and rivers.
This difference causes Si Qing and Jing Chen to dislike each other, until an accidental incident causes their relationship to change drastically.
Right on Si Qing’s 28th birthday, in a depressed mental state due to being neglected by her family and co-workers, Si Qing felt touched by the bowl of eggs and sweet wine that Jing Chen made. Feeling cared for, the bank manager impulsively proposed to Jing Chen.
Though surprised Jing Chen agreed to the proposal. However, marriage is only the beginning of the domestic turmoil they have to face. The incompatibility between the husband and wife is getting sharper with the presence of Yun Pian (Nan Sheng), the girl Jing Chen adores, and the return of Jing Mu Sheng (Zhao Zhen Ting).
Divorce was inevitable. But Si Qing and Jing Chen had to go through a quiet period of 30 days, giving the married couple time to rethink their decision. Can they survive the marriage?
