Netflix in collaboration with Hancao Films and Television is ready to present the latest thriller-mystery drama series, ‘Copycat Killer’. The 10-episode drama can be watched online via the Netflix live streaming video platform.
Adapted from the best-selling novel from Japan, ‘Mohou-han’ by Miyuki Miyabe, the drama series ‘Copycat Killer’ features a number of well-known artists who have won various awards including Chris Wu Kang Ren, Alice Ko Chia Yen, Tuo Chung Hua, Jack Yao Chun Yao, Fandy Fan Shao Hsun, and Cammy Chiang. This drama, also known as ‘Imitation Criminal’, takes place in the late 1990s in Taiwan.
In line with its title, the story of this drama is focused on trying to uncover a series of serial murder cases that use unique methods with the eccentric actions of the perpetrator. Wu Kang Ren plays the prosecutor Guo Xiao Qi who partners with his ex-girlfriend, criminal counselor Hu Yun Hui, played by Ko Chia Yen, to uncover a high-profile crime case.

Copycat Killer Storyline
Guo Xiao Qi (Wu Kang Ren), a prosecutor known for his expertise in investigating various murder cases, is facing a serial murder case for the first time. In fact, the case he is handling this time is unique considering that the killer has unique criminal methods with extreme behavior that makes the big TV media vying to be the first to cover it.
The great interest shown by the media makes the killer even more cruel to the victim, while the police and the media seem to be his toys. He began to manipulate people’s hearts and provoke the court. This made Guo Xiao Qi even more determined to uncover evidence of the murderer’s crimes even if it cost his life.
