Jackie Chan collaborated with director and screenwriter Larry Yang in the latest action-comedy film, ‘Ride On’. The film is slated for release starting Friday, April 7, 2023 in cinemas, coinciding with Jackie Chan’s 69th birthday.
In this film, which has been distributed by the Hong Kong sales outlet, Golden Network, throughout North America, Europe and Asia, Jackie Chan will compete with Liu Hao Cun, a young Chinese actress whose name has skyrocketed in the last three years. Several other artists who also performed included Kevin Guo Qi Lin, Wu Jing, Xing Yu, Andy On, Rongguang Yu, and Joey Yung.
Apart from that, in this film Jackie Chan will also partner with a horse who becomes his loyal friend. According to the director, this film is very interesting because it tells the story of a human and a horse who depend on each other. “Moreover, the character played by Jackie this time is more down-to-earth than what we have seen in previous films,” said Larry Yang.

Ride On Storyline
Lao Luo (Jackie Chan) is a washed-up stuntman who can barely make ends meet himself. What’s more, he also has to look after his beloved stunt horse, Red Hare, which is threatened with being forced to auction off if Lao Luo is unable to pay off his debts.
Although reluctant, Lao Luo decides to ask for help from Xiao Bao (Liu Hao Cun), his only daughter who has not been in touch with him for years. Xiao Bao’s boyfriend, lawyer Nai Hua (Guo Qi Lin), helps his future in-laws deal with a debt collector lawsuit.
In the midst of the process of settling the lawsuit, Lao Luo continues to train his beloved horse so that it can become a star on set. Even though Xiao Bao strongly opposes the ambition of his father who always trains the Red Hare to do dangerous things.
Unbeknownst to his daughter, Lao Luo also gives martial arts training and challenges to Nai Hua so that he has the ability to protect Xiao Bao.
But no one expected that just overnight the washed-up stuntman and his horse became a media sensation when the video of the actual fight between Lao Luo and debt collectors went viral. His popularity on social media gave Lao Luo a second chance to choose between a film career or a family.
