A drama series that combines elements of traditional mythology, urban life, sci-fi, and a number of other elements, Lost in the Kunlun Mountains, begins airing on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Adapted from the novel of the same name by Tian Xia Ba Chang, the 36-episode drama this can be watched online via Tencent Video (WeTV) live streaming video platform, iQIYI.
Also known as ‘Traveling in Kunlun Ruins’, this drama tells the story of five gates entangled between feuds, led by Tain Guan in the period of the Republic of China. The figure of a young man named Ding Yun Qi became the main focus considering that he was the sole inheritor of the Kunlun relic and treasure, who was the only person who could unlock the price of the Kunlun Mountains.
The collaboration between Xu Kai and Zhong Chu Xi in the main cast will be complemented by the presence of a number of other well-known stars including Wang Yang, Zhang Xin Yu, Morni Chang, Gao Shu Guang, and Bao Bei Er. Ding Yun Qi (Xu Kai), a kind and talented young man who just returned after studying abroad, is investigating the whereabouts of his brother who has disappeared strangely. Ding Yun Qi’s arrival in Shanghai immediately attracted the attention of many parties. Especially those in power who know of his status as the sole inheritor of the Kunlun Mountain treasure as well as the only key that can open the Kunlun Ruins.
In the course of the investigation, he accidentally gets involved in a conspiracy plot carried out by Luo Yun Song (Wang Yang), a warlord who profited from the smuggling of cultural relics and desperately wanted to take Kunlun’s treasure for himself. With his status, Ding Yun Qi had a hard time sifting through the people who approached him, whether a friend or foe.
In order to protect the Kunlun Ruins from the hands of thieves, Ding Yun Qi decides to form a team with the innocent Wu Shuang (Zhong Chu Xi), who is honest and straightforward. Not only Wu Shuang, it turns out that there are many good people who want to help guard the Kunlun Ruins, including the third sister of Faqiu’s disciple, Hong San Mei (Ge Yu Jia), who is familiar with Wu Shuang.
