A collection of short stories which is the debut of the famous Chinese author, Annie Baobei, is ready to be broadcast in the form of a drama series entitled ‘Farewell Vivian’. The 24-episode drama can be watched online through the live streaming video platform Tencent Video (WeTV).
Farewell Vivian which was adapted from the novel ‘Goodbye’ Vivien’ basically tells the love journey between an illustrator without rules and an IT expert whose life is according to a schedule. Along with Li Bo Wen, Jin Xi and Hong Jun Jia lined up as the main players in the drama directed by Hou Jue.
In order to display the ‘feel’ that fits the beauty of the story in the novel, the production team reportedly takes up to five years to adapt it into a script.

Synopsis
Lin Yu (Hong Jun Jia), a young man who lives according to a schedule, never expected to sit at the same table with a free-spirited girl like Chen An An (Jin Xi). Despite having opposite personalities, the two of them enjoyed a happy time in high school.
Eight years later, they suddenly reunite as roommates. Lin Yu and Chen An An never knew that in fact they had never parted and kept in touch through popular chat rooms under pseudonyms.
The virtual figure of ‘Weian’ becomes a means for them to open their hearts and reveal themselves. Behind the happy ‘Weian’ character, Lin Yu and Chen An An apparently have the burden of the shadows of their family and the hope of being able to change themselves for the better.
Although romantic love was initially formed because of ‘Weian’, but in the end they had to say goodbye to ‘Weian’ to be able to welcome each other better.
