Anna, the latest drama series by the Korean e-commerce company Coupang, is ready to air starting on Friday, June 24, 2022. Starring Bae Suzy in her first acting role since Start Up (2020), Anna can be watched online through the live streaming video platform Coupang Play.
Anna tells the story of a woman who lives two contrasting lives. On one hand she is Yoo Mi, a low-class worker who is never noticed, while on the other hand she is Anna, a sparkly figure whom everyone admires. What people don’t know is that Anna is actually just a product of Yoo Mi’s lies that keep piling up.
Along with Suzy, a number of well-known actors will be present around Anna’s life. Actor Kim Joon Han (One Spring Night) will play Anna’s ambitious husband, and actress Park Ye Young (Hometown Cha Cha Cha) will play Yoo Mi’s confidant best friend. The antagonist of the series is played by Jung Eun Chae (The Guest), as a superior woman who enjoys a luxurious life without caring about others. Synopsis
Lies, piled up little by little, will eventually become a hill, or in this case a whole new identity. Lee Yoo Mi (Bae Suzy) is proof of that. Yoo Mi is a woman with an ordinary job, who wants to take small steps to achieve the life she wants. This step involved lying, and lying, and lying, until she now lives a fake life with a new name: Anna.
Lee Anna is different from Lee Yoo Mi. Anna is respected by people everywhere. Anna has a glamorous style and lives like a star. Anna has a successful, though loveless, marriage with rich husband Ji Hoon (Kim Joon Han). The only thing Anna and Yoo Mi both have is their trustworthy friend, Ji Won (Park Ye Young). Until one day, Yoo Mi’s cover is threatened when the daughter of her former boss, Hyun Joo (Jung Eun Chae), recognizes who she really is.
