In the wake of the Multiverse being Hollywood’s latest favorite trope, as seen in animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) and Marvel’s superhero flick Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Madness (2022), here comes a new film that brings a fresh twist to the concept. Everything Everywhere All at Once, an absurdist comedy starring Michelle Yeoh, is set to be shown theatrically in selected cinemas following its digital release.
Everything tells the story of an Asian-American woman named Evelyn. Squeezed in the middle of a bad relationship with her family, a laundry business that is on the verge of bankruptcy, and endless tax problems, Evelyn finds the key to her escape: exploring different versions of herself in other universes.
The film, which replaced Hereditary (2018) as the highest-grossing A24 film, received rave reviews on social media after its release on a number of paid live video streaming platforms, such as Vudu, Google Play, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube Movies. In several lucky countries, it is also scheduled to be shown on the big screen, offering an irreplacable, not to be missed experience of the larger-than-life adventure.

Synopsis
Evelyn (Michelle Yeoh) is an ordinary middle-aged woman. Living a boring life with her wimpy husband Waymond (Ke Huy Quan), her teenage daughter Joy (Stephanie Hsu), and her demanding father Gong Gong (James Hong), Evelyn is faced with yet another problem that puts her one tiny step away from exploding: taxes. That, and the officer in charge of the tax, Deirdre (Jamie Lee Curtis).
Until one day, a new opportunity arrives in front of Evelyn, in the form of the ability to explore other universes. The various existing realities are filled with various versions of Evelyn, like Evelyn the fighter, Evelyn the chef, and Evelyn the successful actress. A version of her husband gives Evelyn a mission: to collect the abilities of the other Evelyns and fight an evil force that wants to destroy the multiverse. Will Evelyn, the ordinary, be able to master this new power and defeat the enemy?
