Synopsis
In the humble town of Pingling, the Balihe Police Station welcomes four new recruits. Li Dawei (Zhang Ruoyun), Xia Jie (Bailu), Yang Shu (Xu Kaicheng) and Zhao Jiwei (Cao Lu) are young police officers who come with their own dreams and motivations. However, the reality of the police profession is not what they imagine.
The Balihe Station policemen face many, but trivial cases. Instead of stopping criminal figures, they deal with bickering between neighbors. Instead of being in the middle of a gunfight, they patrol the streets and help stray cats. Apart from cases, the chatter and troubles of local residents complete their daily lives.
The four new police officers realize that the reality of the police profession is very close to ordinary life. They live through the joys and sorrows of the work, even to the point of wanting to give up. However, they slowly grow into reliable cops. With the guidance of senior police officers, they learn the true meaning of a police officer’s honor.
