Synopsis
Andy McGee (Zac Efron) and his wife, Vicky (Sydney Lemmon), have been fugitives for more than a decade. Their goal is to hide their daughter, Charlie (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) from the pursuit of a shadowy federal agent known as ‘The Shop’, who wants to harness her unique powers to become a weapon of mass destruction.
Charlie inherited her pyrokinetic powers from her parents, who got the forerunner of these powers after being given a low-level hallucinogen called ‘Lot Six’ in college. The little girl is able to create and manipulate fire through her mind.
If both of her parents experienced side effects while using their powers, not so with Charlie. Therefore The Shop is taking full advantage of this power which is predicted to grow so that Charlie is able to create a huge explosion with just her mind when she grows up.
As a father, Andy tries to teach Charlie how to control the forces that are triggered by anger or when she is hurt. But at the age of 11, Charlie began to find it difficult to control these powers.
An incident finally reveals the location of Andy’s family hideout. A mysterious operation is launched to hunt down the family and capture Charlie forever. But it turns out that Charlie has other plans.
