Woori The Virgin, a Korean drama which is a remake of the American TV series ‘Jane The Virgin’ began airing on Monday, May 9, 2022. The 14-episode drama aired on the SBS network can also be watched online via the live streaming video platform Viu or Viki.
As the title implies, this comedy-romance KDrama tells the story of a woman named Oh Woo Ri, played by Im Soo Hyang, who kept her chastity very much before getting married but ended up getting pregnant due to accidental artificial insemination. Synopsis
Oh Woo Ri (Im Soo Hyang) is an assistant screenwriter of a popular drama series who has been dating crime detective Lee Kang Jae (Shin Dong Wook) for two years. She was determined to keep her chastity until marriage.
In order to realize her determination supported by her lover, Oh Woo Ri always avoids romantic relationships. But a terrible mess ensues when she visits the ob-gyn for a routine medical check-up and is accidentally artificially inseminated.
When she finds out that she is pregnant, Oh Woo Ri immediately investigates what really happened and finds out that the father of the baby she is carrying is Raphael (Sung Hoon), the CEO of the famous cosmetic company Diamond Cosmetics. Despite his cold appearance, Raphael is actually a romantic man who wants to find someone he loves.
Raphael is facing a messy divorce process with his wife, Lee Ma Ri (Hong Ji Yoon), who doesn’t want to be separated from her husband. Not out of love, this pretty con artist fights for her marriage purely for financial reasons.
Things get complicated when Raphael finds out that he will be the father of a child conceived by a woman he is not even dating. Especially after knowing the secrets of the past that connected him with Oh Woo Ri.
