Glory of Special Forces or also known as China Special Forces is a drama series adapted from the novel Zhong Guo Te Zhong Bing Zhi Te Bie You Zhong by Fen Wu Yao Ji. This drama tells the life of Yan Po Yue, played by Yang Yang, a young man who has extraordinary qualities as a soldier, but is a loner and finds it difficult to join a team.
This military drama marks the third collaboration between directors Xu Ji Zhou and Li Yi Tong. According to the director, Yang Yang and Li Yi Tong were not only chosen to be the main actors, but the script, which was written by Feng Ji, and the roles were completely adapted to their characters.

Synopsis
Born into a military family, Yan Po Yue (Yang Yang) is determined to prove his worth to his father. For this reason, this less sociable young man decided to enroll in a military school.
Despite getting excellent results in the exams, Yan Po Yue fails to win over his superiors during the meeting for new recruits. As a result, he was sent to be part of the cooking crew for a special operations squadron.
Even though it didn’t live up to expectations, Yan Po Yue continued to do his job. Unexpectedly it turns out that the people who join the section have hidden talents.
Due to his extraordinary abilities, Yan Po Yue was able to participate in the selection of special forces in the army. The harsh environment accompanied by a series of tough tasks made him realize his own shortcomings.
Through life and death trials and the help of his comrades, Yan Po Yue grows into a good special forces member of his dreams.
