Synopsis
Zhu Di (Feng Zhao Feng / Cheng Yi), the fourth son of the first emperor and founder of the Ming Dynasty – Zhu Yuan Zhang (Chen Bao Guo), spent his youth following in the footsteps of General Xu Da (Zhang Feng Yi) on the battlefield. The various war experiences he faced by witnessing the bloodshed that occurred on the battlefield made Zhu Di grow as a mature statesman.
With the support of his wife, family, and supporters, Zhu Di settled in Beiping and fought to keep the Ming Dynasty’s northern borders from the hands of the invaders.
After the death of Emperor Taizu of Ming, the royal throne bequeathed to Zhu Yun Wen (Chen Yue Mo) who was known as Emperor Jianwen. However, encouragement from his mother’s tribe led the new emperor to make decisions that angered the Zhu imperial family and forced Zhu Di to rise up to lead the rebellion.
