Sonic The Hedgehog 2 will hit cinemas on Thursday, March 31, 2022. In this adventure, Dr. Robotnik will have Sonic meet his arch-enemy, Knuckles, who has equal speed on an epic journey to find the emerald that could potentially destroy an entire civilization.
After the huge success with the film Sonic The Hedgehog which was released in 2020 ago, Paramount Pictures is back with a sequel to the film that can entertain the whole family. The film is adapted from the SEGA video game, a very popular game since 30 years ago.
Ben Schwartz is again trusted to voice the character Sonic, while Jim Carrey returns as Dr. Robotics. James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, and Adam Pally are back in Sonic The Hedgehog 2, this time featuring Idris Elba as the voice of Knuckles.

Synopsis
After adventuring in the first film, Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) is stranded on a mushroom planet while Sonic (Ben Schwartz) settles in Green Hills determined to prove that he has everything it takes to become a true hero. Meanwhile, Tom (James Marsden) and Maddie (Tika Sumpter) travel to Hawaii to attend the wedding ceremony of their sister, Rachel (Natasha Rothwell).
The situation changed drastically after Dr. Robotnik returns with his new ally, Knuckles (Idris Elba), in search of an emerald that has the power to destroy civilization. To prevent Dr. Robotnik rules the world, Sonic teams up with his friend, Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey), on an adventure around the world to find the emerald faster and prevent it from falling into the wrong hands.
