Good news for anime or manga lovers. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 (Jujutsu Kaisen: Zero) which was named one of the top 50 highest-grossing films in Japan after being released on December 24 last year is now ready to hit theaters starting Thursday, March 17, 2022.
This animated film produced by animation studio MAPPA is the result of a manga adaptation by Gege Akutami which was published in GIGA’s Jump magazine from April to July 2017. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is a prequel to the Jujutsu Kaisen manga series published in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2018.
The story of the animated film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 centers on the character Yuta Okkotsu who struggles to control the power of the curse that always follows him. Although Yuji Itadori does not appear in this film, a number of favorite characters will still be present, including Satoru Gojo who became Yuta’s mentor who sent him to Tokyo Jujutsu High.

Synopsis
As a child, Rika Orimoto got into a traffic accident and died right in front of her best friend, Yuta Okkotsu. Since then, Rika has turned into a curse that follows Yuta wherever he goes.
Rika’s presence in a terrible and strong form makes Yuta suffer so he decides to isolate himself. However, the greatest Jujutsu sorcerer, Satoru Gojo, has other plans for Yuta and welcomes him to join Tokyo Jujutsu High.
At the school, Yuta meets several classmates including Maki Zen’in a Jujutsu weapon expert, Toge Inumaki the spellcaster who uses words as weapons, and Panda the talking panda bear. Yuta also managed to get up and find a place in this world where he felt comfortable with his abilities.
However, a vicious curse user, Suguru Geto who was expelled from school for slaughtering commoners, appears before Yuta and his comrades. Suguru Geto persuades jujutsu sorcerers to create his own world and he releases a thousand curses on Shinjuku and Kyoto to annihilate all non-sorcerers.
Can Yuta stop Suguru Geto’s evil intentions? How does he control Rika’s curse?
